Hi, I'm Katie

RVT Supervisor of Clinical Protocols and Training
Technicians

Katie is the RVT Supervisor of Clinical Protocols and Training at PetNation. Her passion for the veterinary field began in kindergarten but took off in grade 9 when she began working in a clinic as a receptionist/animal care attendant, and she has since built a diverse and enriching career.

After graduating from the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College in 2019, Katie has gained extensive experience working in small animal practice, emergency and referral medicine, and neurology, with a unique background in equine care as well.

Katie is dedicated to developing and improving clinical protocols to ensure the best care for pets, while also mentoring and training new veterinary staff.

Outside of work, Katie shares her home with her 3-year-old orange and white cat, Frankie, who keeps her on her toes with his mischievous antics and love of playing fetch. She also enjoys spending time with her 13-year-old Hanoverian cross horse, Nash, whom she rescued and now competes with in the Hunters.

Wanted to be in Veterinary Medicine since she was only 4 years old

The PetNation Team

We are PetParents, veterinarians, nurses, engineers, entrepreneurs, and scientists - driven by a mission to ensure that every pet has access to the care they need, when they need it.

I came back to veterinary medicine for one reason - to launch a new type of pet healthcare: One that engages pet families as partners - not profit centres; and care teams as healthcare professionals - not skilled labour.

If you are passionate about contributing to a healthcare revolution where pets come first, and professionals thrive, please reach out for more information.
