Dr. Rattan graduated from St. George's University Cum Laude in 2015 and completed her clinical year at Cornell University Hospital for Animals. She then went on to complete a rotating internship in internal medicine, oncology, neurology, surgery, radiology, general practice and emergency medicine between 2015-2016 in Middletown, Connecticut. She decided she was not done learning and completed a specialty Oncology Internship in Richmond, Virginia from 2016-2017.
She was recruited to the University of Saskatchewan to teach fourth-year students as a Clinical Associate in Radiation and Medical Oncology from 2018-2019. She has since been working as an Emergency Veterinarian across the Greater Toronto Area. She joined PetNation as the executive director of clinical medicine and innovation in December 2024
She believes it is an honour to serve animals and her community. "I know coming to the Emergency room can be scary, but I hope that I can make your experience with your animals in your time of need a pleasant one" - Dr. Ekta Rattan
The PetNation Team
We are PetParents, veterinarians, nurses, engineers, entrepreneurs, and scientists - driven by a mission to ensure that every pet has access to the care they need, when they need it.
I came back to veterinary medicine for one reason - to launch a new type of pet healthcare: One that engages pet families as partners - not profit centres; and care teams as healthcare professionals - not skilled labour.
If you are passionate about contributing to a healthcare revolution where pets come first, and professionals thrive, please reach out for more information.
